Sam Shirley

Sam Shirley considers Tennessee his home, having resided in and around Middle Tennessee for more than seventeen years. He graduated from Ravenwood High School in Brentwood prior to entering Belmont University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. During his undergraduate years at Belmont, he was a member of the Iota Phi chapter of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and served on its executive council.

Sam furthered his education at Belmont when he enrolled in Belmont University College of Law on a full scholarship and subsequently received a Juris Doctor degree. During his law school career, he was a member of the American Inns of Court, the Belmont Criminal Law Society and The Federalist Society. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee and is admitted to practice in all Tennessee state courts

Sam focuses his practice on matters pertaining to business and commercial litigation, contractual disputes, defamation, real and personal property litigation, and employment law. He also assists clients in family law matters and cases involving Second Amendment rights.

Sam's distinctive educational background in journalism, as well as the law, enables him to evaluate complex issues through a unique lens and offer clients creative and efficient solutions. His excellent verbal and written skills allow him to communicate complicated legal concepts in a straightforward manner, thus ensuring a trusted relationship between him and his clients.

In his free time, Sam enjoys fishing, spending time with his dog, and rooting for a diverse array of sports teams including the Tennessee Volunteers, Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Nashville Soccer Club and Atlanta Braves.
